i know i said i would try to keep the MJ posts to a minimum but i had to share this one! Since MJ's death, i've been considering get a very small symbolic and commemorative tattoo. I've bought shirts posters and magazines, but all of these things can be lost or destroyed. I want something that will last a lifetime. Of course, my mom has been begging me to please reconsider. She said it was weird and over the top.
Yesterday, I was asked to represent my job at the BrideWorld Expo at the L.A. Convention center. A woman was asking me about the tattoo on my arm (skater stars) and then pointed and said "whoa! that girl has a lot of tattoos!" She did indeed, but the surprise came when the girl turned her back to us and i saw that she had a huge, full-body tattoo of Michael Jackson on her back!
I hesitated but i knew i had to get a closer look. I ran after the girl to ask her about her tatt - shes had it for more than ten years! I told her that i thought it was awesome and very brave and I asked to take a picture of it. I explained that I also wanted one and that i wanted to show my mom that there are others out there who love MJ enough to show it in permanent ink! Look at the detail... the artist did a fantastic job!
Seeing that girl and her tattoo has been really inspiring, like a a push that is telling me it's ok to do it. I've known all along what i'd like to get - an ink sketch of the logo from the Moonwalker movie and also Michael's MJJ Productions. Right above my ankle:

I think I'm gonna go for it!

I have same wish and problem as you! If i would not care what family says i would go and get that tattoo tomorrow. Its not just his music, but It would remind me of what kind of person we should be, never can judge anybody. for me he has gived face for those things...
